Are
we allowed to run our own scripts?
Yes. You are allowed to
run your own scripts as long as they do not damage our servers. If this happens
we will disable the script.

What
Operating System and Server Software is being used?
Our Unix systems run a customized version of
RedHat, using the powerful Apache
Web Server and Apache SSL Server for secure transactions. We also offer NT
platform.

Do
you maintain backups of my data?
Yes. We backup your web directory daily.

Do
you offer dialup internet access?
No. We currently do not offer dialup
internet
access but we are considering offering this service in the near future.

Can
I access my domain without the "www" in front?
Yes. You will be able to access your domain address with or without
the "www" in front of the domain name. Example: [http://www.your-name.com]
or [http://your-name.com] is acceptable, whichever you prefer.

Can
I upgrade my account?
Yes. You can upgrade your account at any time.
We do not charge additional setup fees for upgrades.

How
can I tell how many visits my website gets?
Included FREE with every account is Wusage
5.0, a very powerful tool
for graphically tracking visitors to your site. It provides you with statistics
on how long visitors were there, what pages they visited and the order in which
they were visited. With the advanced logging feature activated, it even captures
what browser was being used and how the visitors found you, whether through a
search engine or a website link.

Do
you handle Domain Name Registrations?
Yes. Currently, we offer domain name registration services only for
.com, .net and .org extensions.

Do
you offer 24/7 technical support?
Yes. We
provide a toll free phone number that allows us to take your
questions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We also provide a
number of online training courses in HTML, FrontPage and
Java, all in HTML and fully searchable. Depending on your
preferences, you can either download the tutorials or view
them online. We also offer a help section within your
control panel to provide you with answers to support queries
immediately. You can also send your question to us via email

What
if I need more disc space?
Yes. You
may purchase additional disc space by sending an email to our upgrade team
at upgrade@FasterServers.com.
We charge $1.00/1MB, and this must be purchased in 10MB increments.

What
if I exceed my monthly transfer allowance?
You will be notified by email ahead of time allowing you enough time to
choose from our numerous Traffic Upgrade Levels. For traffic usage in excess of
of your monthly allowance, you will be billed @ $25.00 a month for every
additional 1GB used. A permanent traffic upgrade will provide monthly savings of
up to 50%. If you feel the need to upgrade your traffic allowance, Depending on
your choice, simply email us of your upgrade needs. It's
that easy!

Can I point additional domains
to the same main page as my current domain?
Yes. We can mirror your
main web pages and mail system for a one time $20.00 set-up fee for each
additional domain. This is a great way to expand the marketing of your present
business.

Can
I host domains in the sub-directory of my main account?
Yes. You can redirect
to sub-directories and even password protect them all within your Control
Panel and there is only a one time fee of $25.00 for each domain redirected.

Can
I sub-divide my space and resell it?
Yes. We allow you to
create sub-directories, which you can use to offer friends or clients disk space
under your main account, as long as it is within our policy guidelines. Each additional domain pointed has a one
time fee of $25.00.

Do
you offer Technical Support?
Yes. We provide you with
three options to immediately contact our Support Staff:
1. 24/7 email-based Support is available within your Control
Panel and using this feature allows us to directly take
your questions and provide you with the fastest possible service.
2. We also provide a number of online training courses in
HTML, FrontPage, and Java, all in HTML and fully searchable. We also offer an
extensive Support Manual along with a detailed Support FAQ to provide you with
answers to all support queries immediately.
3. Be sure and visit http://www.fullonlinemanual.com.
This is a complete manual for every feature that is in your control panel
and many of your questions will be answered there. We suggest you try this
first.
4. If after you have exhausted the previous options, you are
still having problems, Just send us a detailed email to support@FasterServers.com.
Be sure and state your problem completely and we will contact you within hours
with an answer. If you wish us to contact you by phone, please include your
phone number.

How
long does it take to set up a new account?
We guarantee same day setup and most all accounts are setup
within a couple of hours from the time you place your order unless it is the
weekend or a holiday. Once your account is set-up, you will be emailed your
Account Login Information (User ID, Password, & FTP hostname) along with
some useful URL's to help you get started. You can immediately start uploading
files to your new website. Domain account users will be given a temporary URL to
access their site via the web prior to the completion of either domain
registration or domain modification.

Can
I use my account for commercial purposes?
Yes.
You
can use your account for commercial purposes. The World Wide Web has become the
most efficient and cost-effective means of making information, products and
services available to the users of the internet community and we provide our
clients the necessary tools to develop a successful internet business.

Will
I have unlimited access to my site for updates?
Yes.
you
will have unlimited access via your Website Control Panel including your File
Manager and via FTP 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. As such, you
can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to
your website at your leisure.

If
I sell unused space, how will my clients URL appear ?
The visitors to the site will just be typing in the alias
domain name.
Example: Main domain- george.com Sub-directory domain-
ringo.com
A visitor types in http://ringo.com
and automatically goes to http://ringo.com/ringo/.
Depending on the browser, the visitor will see one of the
following in the navigation window of their browser.
http://ringo.com/ http://george.com/ringo/

How
do I transfer my files to my site?
Files must be transferred to the server via File Transfer
Protocol (FTP). Internet providers such as AOL, CompuServe, and Prodigy may have
a built-in FTP interface. If you need FTP, Telnet, mail, or other internet
software, visit www.shareware.com.
Shareware.com is a source for the latest internet applications with ratings and
reviews to help you decide which application is best suited for your needs. An
FTP tutorial is also available for beginners who may not be familiar with FTP.
Microsoft FrontPage users can "publish" their sites to our servers and
should not use FTP.

What
is a virtual/true domain?
A virtual/true domain is having your own name (http://www.your-name.com)
with its own unique IP number, without having to install expensive server
hardware and software. With a virtual domain, you utilize our server's storage
space, however, you are still professionally represented via your own personal
internet web address. (http://www.your-name.com) and by your own personal e-mail
address (you@your-name.com). Having your own domain name enables you to maintain
the same e-mail address (you@your-name.com) even if you change internet
providers.

What are FrontPage
extensions?
FrontPage extensions are CGI programs that provide the server side implementation
of FrontPage. FrontPage communicates with the extensions via HTTP using a Remote Procedure Call
(RPC). When the server sees the "POST" request addressed
to the FrontPage server extensions it simply directs the request to the appropriate
CGI program. The extensions implement authoring (uploading/downloading documents, ToDo lists), administration (setting end-user, author, and administrator
privileges), and dynamic content (browse-time WebBot components). Without the FrontPage server extensions you will not be able to take advantage of the WebBots
that are available through FrontPage. You also cannot author and administer your
site using the tools provided as part of the FrontPage Editor/Explorer package.

What is a
WebBot?
WebBots are the mechanism for invoking many of the interactive features built into
FrontPage. These features are added to your site through the FrontPage Editor | Insert WebBot component
Some, such as ''Include'' and ''Substitution'' allow elements of your site to be entered
once and included in any or all of the pages by inserting the Bot component referencing that element (e.g., a logo or navigation bar). Changes made to the
'master' element are made automatically to any page containing the referencing
Bot. Other Bots, such as Search, Table of Contents and Timestamp, control dynamic
browse-time features. These Bots work behind the scenes to keep your site up-to-date for visitors.

How do I get FrontPage server
extensions installed?
There is a button on your control panel labeled FrontPage.
Just go into that and click install FrontPage extensions. It's that easy!
